John L. Norget & Co. Ltd. was formed in 1953 by John Norget. Mr. Norget was a German immigrant who came to Canada in the early 1950’s when many European immigrants immigrated to Canada.  John Norget, with his love for quality European foods identified a demand in Canada’s prairie provinces for imported quality foods.  Through his contacts in Europe, John Norget imported his first selection of fine European foods to Canada.  Throughout the next 56 years John L. Norget & Co. Ltd. has successfully established itself in Canada as one of the Prairies largest European and gourmet food importers and distributors. 

In 1984, Kerry Neufeld started his career fresh out of business college with John L. Norget & Co. Ltd. Fifteen years later, after successfully building the brands of John L. Norget’s suppliers, Kerry purchased the company and continues John Norget’s tradition of providing quality food products and service to its network of grocery and specialty food retailers across the Canadian Prairies.

Today at John L. Norget & Co. Ltd., we offer our suppliers a focused, full-time sales team and fulfillment system that allows our suppliers’ products access to over 1,000 grocery and specialty food retailers across the Canadian Prairies.  With our team of experienced and professional import, warehousing, distribution and sales experts, we provide our suppliers with a one-stop direct to store delivery system that ensures that our suppliers’ products sales and marketing objectives are met or exceeded throughout Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
